Commercial Sports-plex Gymnasium

This flat roof experienced hail damage that allowed water to run down through the ceiling causing mold and other interior damages that were effecting the gym’s business and profits.  The Insurance company offered barely enough money to cover temporary repairs.  Noble negotiated a payout that would fully indemnify the policyholder and put the business back into pre-loss condition.  Indemnification is the concept that the policyholder is left no worse off by the insurance award than he was before the loss.  “Restoring him back to pre-loss condition” is a phrase you’re probably familiar with and a precept promised in every insurance policy.

Residential Water Damage Claim

A shower pan leak caused damages to this high valued home in the Gulf of Mexico.  There was some wind damage that the Insurance Company was willing to pay for, but the problem was that there was a tremendous amount of damage that was overlooked by the staff adjuster involving a shower pan leak that contributed to the exterior damages as well.  After Noble Public Adjusting Group was hired and brought on the scene, the Insurance Company sent out a team of supposed experts, including a structural engineer, architect, and building consultants to defend their stance and solidify the low payout.  Unfortunately for them, debating teams of experts is nothing new to the staff at Noble.  By using evidence, logic and policy, Noble succeeded in exposing all of the damages and the intent of the insurer.
If the policyholder had accepted the low payout, he would have ultimately accepted a patchwork performance on his expensive exterior stucco, rendering it inconsistent by color and thickness.  For a home in this particular area and price-range, those inconsistencies could be detrimental to the value of the property.  Noble demanded a payout more appropriate for the policyholder that concluded with the entire exterior stucco being replaced along with other miscellaneous repairs.

Commercial Hail and Water Loss

A hail storm damaged and busted this slate tile roofing system allowing rain water to seep into the roof and down the walls of the exterior and interior of the building.  This caused moisture to damage the siding and guts of the walls.  The Insurance Company offered enough money to replace a portion of the roof, but had overlooked all of the subsequent damage that the building experienced because of the loss.  Noble pointed out those damages along with the appropriate code upgrades and negotiated a more reasonable payout that would correct all of the damage.  That included a roof replacement and replacement of exterior siding, along with the replacement of other internal damages.  Now the policyholder is fully indemnified and has not suffered decreased property value because of patchwork and incomplete repairs.

Residential Wind and Water Loss

Wind damage to this roof allowed water to leak into the home, causing multiple issues.  The Insurance Company’s Independent Adjuster originally wrote an estimate to pay for a roof replacement.  He sent that estimate to the insurance company and to the homeowner.  After reviewing the estimate, the Insurance Company made the adjuster revise it to only pay for a small repair on the roof.  So, naturally, their adjuster changed his estimate, and re-submitted to both the homeowner and the Insurance Company.  The Insurance Company then issued the homeowner a check for the lower amount.  When the home owner deposited the Insurance Company’s check, the check had been cancelled! The policyholder called Noble frantic for help, questioning the legality of what had happened.  Noble took over the claim and made the Insurance Company stand good for the original estimate, which replaced the entire roof and repair the interior damages.  Once an Insurance company has made an offer to a policyholder (especially in writing), legally  and ethically they are required to honor that offer; even if the adjuster they hired was an Independent third party adjuster, they are still acting on behalf of the Insurance Company.  This precept is called “The Power To Bind” in the insurance world.

Commercial Fire Loss

This hotel was almost totally destroyed after an electrical fire from a lamp spread and consumed the building.  After the fire investigation proved the fire accidental, the insurance company only offered half of what it would cost to repair the damages.  Noble came in after several months of unsuccessful negotiating on the policyholder’s behalf.  After Noble scoped the property and wrote an estimate of damages, the Insurance Company made a much higher offer.  Even though there was much more negotiating to be done, the policyholder was satisfied with the new settlement offer and accepted it.  A difference of over a quarter of a million dollars was recouped for the insured’s indemnification and restoration of this property, even though Noble had just begun the negotiation process when the insured settled.

Residential Water and Mold Claim

A hot water heater busted while the policyholder was out of town.  Water flowed un-remedied for an entire week.  The Insurance Company offered enough to restore some of the obvious damage, but the policyholder knew that with that much water, there were issues far beneath the surface that needed to be repaired.  Mold is a serious problem and if there’s a moist dark area where it can grow, it will, and will soon spread throughout the entire dwelling causing major health issues.  Noble fought for what was right and proved that the damage exceeded 50% of the value of the home, so code upgrades applied, and there was much to be done in lieu of what was originally offered.  The policy reached it’s max easily and the homeowner was satisfied. She and her family could sleep comfortably, knowing that the nasty, wet internals of their walls and floor had been replaced with new and dry materials free of disease causing spores.

Residential Wind and Water Loss

A Military vet and his wife experienced wind damage to their roof.  The creased shingles allowed water to seep through into the interior of the home and down the walls.  The Insurance Company offered to replace 35% of the roof, but refused to pay for the interior damages.  In the State of Florida, if more than 25% of the roof needs to be replaced, the Insurance Company has to replace it in it’s entirety, by law.  If you don’t know the statutes, building codes, and policies, then you can’t present them to the Insurance Company.  Even though the Insurance Company is bound by law and the precept of “Utmost Good Faith” to proceed ethically in their dealings, they will not offer this information to you, because it would increase the amount of money they had to pay on each claim significantly.  It is their object to pay out as little as possible for each claim.  Noble Public Adjusting Group takes great pride in a base of knowledge developed over many years of business in the insurance industry and a lifetime of experience in construction, that they can offer on behalf of their clients who may not be aware of these avenues of negotiation.  Evidence and strong negotiating skills landed this homeowner a new roof and the replacement of all interior damages.
